Community Service

The community has been very good to Hard Times so we try and give back as often as we can. Each year we donate food and services to numerous charitable events for the National Kidney Foundation, Bread For The City, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and many other local charities. Our annual chili cook-off every fall raises thousands of dollars and has become a special event for many people each year.

Competitive Chili Cook-offs

Jim Parker and his wife Monica travel the chili cook-off circuit throughout the year competing with top cooks from around the world. Each year they earn enough points to compete in the World Championships. While they have accumulated many trophies and awards, their quest for the World Championship continues. Stay tuned.
